Budget Hotels or B&B's near Gare de Lyon
We have to leave by train from Gare du Lyon early Tuesday morning and would like recommendations for budget accommodation in the vicinity. Thanks!

Not sure about availability or what your budget is but you could try these if you are going next Tuesday. Hopefully others may have some cheaper alternatives.
Hotel Viator - 115EUR
Hotel Prince Albert Lyon Bercy - 110EUR
Alexandrie Hotel - 110EUR
These are all easy walking distance from Gare Lyon.

100+ EUR doesn't really sound like "budget" to me......
I stayed at a hotel called ADRIATIC right on Rue de Lyon, a couple of blocks away from Gare de Lyon, very convenient and cheap for parisian standards, 60 EUR or less last year... full tip on my Paris page.

Check out the Lux Hotel, within a 10-minute walk from Gare de Lyon. It's small but clean and has an elevator! I was there in 2006 and reserved room #7, which looked out over a closed courtyard and was fairly quiet. http://www.hotelux-paris.com/index-gb.htm
