Basic accommodation in a convenient Paris location
We stayed at this hotel in June 2013 and its a basic, low cost hotel - conveniently located to nearby decent cafes and restaurants and not far away from the metro. The room we had was on the third floor (no lift) - the stairs we considered were a health and safety hazard and negotiating heavy baggage up the stairs was quite a strain. The bathroom was clean and tidy but the shower hose wouldn't stay up on the wall, which meant we had to hold the shower rose whilst showering - and water dripped all over the bathroom floors due to the seals on the doors not working.
The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were rock hard, and so we both woke with neck strain in the morning.
If you are seeking budget accommodation, with a convenient Paris location, this hotel would be a good option. I would however opt for a room with lift access.
Unique Quality: The courtyard is very pleasant, and the art work on the walls in the hotel was also very nice. The hotel has bag storage facilities which we utilised. The breakfast was very nice, and staff at the hotel were pleasant. Internet access with free wi fi is available.
Good Budget Option
We stayed here just the once a few year back as it was the cheapest place we could find that seemed reasonable. The hotel is located near to the Opera and is within walking distance to many sites and attractions. For those further away then the metro is only a minute or two walk away.
The decor of the lobby is quite extravigant however the rooms have seen better days and look and feel old and tired.
This can place can be best described as a budget hotel and is fine for those who just want somewhere convenient to sleep thats in a nice enough area.
Directions: Metro : Cadet - Le Peletier
