Le Domaine des Graviers: Quiet hotel outside Provins

We didn't find any vacancy in town, so we had to hide up to Nogent-sur-Seine, some 15 km East from Provins.

The 3 *** hotel is a beautiful manor on the bank of the river Seine.
Large park and pond.
12 large rooms in the main house. They are all different.
14 little rooms in a newer building.

Small restaurant with a limited menu, but good food.
Sumptuous breakfast.

Unique Quality: We appreciated the large rooms and the stylish interior.

The mini- golf in the park is a hoax. Unless you like ruins.

Chambres d'Hôtes et Gîte du Chatel: A very cosy "chambre d'hôtes"

This very cosy guesthouse is part of an organisation called "Bienvenue à la ferme" (welcome to the farm)... and if you wonder why, well it is simply because this guesthouse is also a farm!!! It is located inside the medieval city walls, but the owners still farm their land located jsut outside the walls!

The rooms are nice, calm, and ideally located within the upper city (the miedieval part of the town)

Unique Quality: There is a nice garden where you can have breakfast on the terrace, a parking, and very good breakfast with produce from their farm (yummy, fresh eggs!)
And the prices are very good for such a Guest house!

Ferme de Toussacq guesthouse and B&B: A great place to stay

This is a great place to stay. The farm is a beautifully restaured 18th building, and the guesthouse is roomy and cosy.

The owners are super nice, although a little spaced out, but it adds to the charm of the place.

Unique Quality: Very large living room with a fireplace.

There is even an old chapel and a tower!!

170 Euros for the whole house for a week end. It can accomodate a dozen persons.

You can also book rooms (B&B) in the other aisle of the building, or even book everything in case you're throwing a big birthday party there ;-)

  • Opinion of Price: about average
