Hotel Vivaldi: good during any of the 4 seasons!

Hotel Vivaldi is my choice for a pleasant stay in Puteaux. It was good value for 60 Euros, which is not easy to find in Paris. If you don't mind staying south of La Defense, then Hotel Vivaldi proves its worth in more ways than one.
First of all, it has a free morning shuttle to the nearest Metro station: Esplanade de la Defense or you can request a ride to La Defense as well. Next, there is a free Internet computer located inside a booth in the lobby.
When you check-in, you can get a free map of Paris at the reception desk. It's published by Printemps department store and has Hotel Vivaldi's contact information printed on it.
The managers speak fluent English and are very helpful with any questions you might have about Puteaux or Paris. The rooms are quite comfortable and include a small refrigerator as well as a color TV with BBC, German, and other foreign channels.
The breakfast buffet is an optional 6 Euros per day.

Unique Quality: I love Paris in the springtime and was searching for the NBA playoffs on TV one night when all of the sudden I saw what could be the most explicit free pornographic movie channel in the world. Channel 26 shows French films so I couldn't understand most of the dialogue but still had a fairly fundamental understanding of what was going on. I'll only go so far as to say that the movies show absolutely everything and the French women didn't seem to mind that the men appeared to perform "sans capote". I must add that it gets rather repetitive after a short while (I was still trying to find the basketball game, mind you!) as the participants were still doing the exact same thing after I had flipped through all of the other channels.
I double checked upon check-out to make sure that I was not charged for peeking at the porn and believe it is indeed a free channel on French cable TV.

NOTE: Confucius does not endorse Hotel Vivaldi solely on the basis of this particular phenomena. This is a very respectable hotel that I would not hesitate to book my mother in as long as I tune in BBC on mum's TV and hide her remote control in my room's safe!
