Ibis Paris Versailles Chateau

We stayed in the IBIS Hotel across from the train station in Versailles. Also, across from the train station, we ate at a great creperie cafe. We parked our car in the secure garage belonging to the IBIS while we toured the grand Versailles Palace. (Parking cost 9 E).

Be sure you call ahead to make reservations! We arrived and didn't have any - and the hotel was booked! But the boys at the front desk told us to come back in 30 minutes... there was a reservation for someone who hadn't arrived and it was getting late. Gratefully, 30 minutes later - we were booked in the hotel and given a green leaf key to the room. (Look out for those keys! We took ours with us by accident and dropped it off at an Ibis in Alsace. They returned it for us.)

Unique Quality: It is perfectly located within an easy walking distance of both the Versailles Palace, the bus station, and the train station where you can take the train into Paris. Their room rates lower for the weekend. The boys at the front desk spoke wonderful English, and were gracious, helpful, and took time to talk with us about their culture and how much they liked America and Americans (when they weren't busy helping other customers).

This is a very convenient inexpensive hotel to the train station and castle ,very central to see Versailles, with plenty of eating places and souvenirs stores all around you. Great for the family.

I live here so cant tell you about the services but always heard good thing about them and the staff around it is very nice

It has covered parking so good for me already ! and AC if you come in the middle of summer.

Unique Quality: free wifin, ease of reach to the best of Versailles and easy hop on off to Paris on the rive gauche RER C station.

Directions: just across from train RER C rive gauche very easy to find next to the McDonalds restaurant
