splendor class near castle Pullman

This was the Sofitel and under a reorganisation by Accor it became a Pullman, same exquisite service with French class just steps from the chateau de Versailles

The hotel boasts a fitness area, 147 rooms and 5 refined suites, all equipped with an LCD TV and Internet access.Relax and enjoy the gourmet experience at the LM Caffe, the hotel's contemporary restaurant serving rich Mediterranean cuisine. This upscale hotel has 6 fully equipped, modular rooms for your meetings and seminars

I cant comment on the service ,used to lived here for almost 10 years but know this is a good property to stay in town. Very nice classy place to enjoy a classy city.

Unique Quality: very nice LM resto and historical arch door of Napoleon III period, close to all in Versailles and very near less than 200 meters to Chateau de Versailles, just class in the city

The arch door is from the period of Napoleon III ar 1854, and it housed the guard horse artillery. The hotel was open as a sofitel in 1991.

The former stables!

I and a number of colleagues stayed here for a single night when we were attending a meeting at our site and offices in Marly-le-Roi.

The hotel is located a very short walk from Versailles (the Palace) and is very comfromatable and the staff very friendly. It is however quite an expensive hotel - but possible a wrothwhile treat for a very special birthday or anniversary.

The breakfast was fine, nothing special - the coffee was not so good.

Unique Quality: comfortable beds and a wide range of toiletries in bathrooms

An overnight stay in versailles

"Staying in the old stables!"

During a work visit to our offices in Marly-le-Roi, a group of colleagues and I stayed in the Pullman Versailles Hotel for one night. I was located fairly close to the Versailles that we know from French history. Sadly we had no time to actually visit the actual Palace.

The hotel was in fact a former stable - and situated around the complex there is a significant amount of sculpture and monumental stonework which reflects the imperial past. Close to hotel, there are crest and symbols emblazoned by LN - that I take it to be Louis Napoleon.

"It was a rather rainy night"

A small group of us, some 17, went for dinner at the Au Chien qui Fume. It was a rather jolly night, but started to rain quite heavily. However, I do have to say that I quite enjoy somewhat dark, wet and wintery evenings. It makes the evening seem some what more of an experience.

"Versailles"

It seems that many people have heard of Versailles, although I am sure many people think it is in Paris. However it is not - we drove for well over an hour from the airport to reach our Versailles hotel, and the addresses are not those of Paris destinations.

Sadly we did not have any time to visit the Palace itself, but I did manage to make a very short visit to the entrance nearest our hotel and take some photographs. The image is one of the many water features that are around the property - this is one of the first that you see.
