Maison et chambres d'hôtes "Le Castel Blanc": High country - Winter or Summer

Although it is some time since we stayed at Le Castel Blanc, I have no reason to doubt that the hospitality would be any less today than it was 6 years ago. We stayed over night during a road trip of the Jura to seek the source of the R. Doubs among other highlights of the area.
M Yves Jacquier was very hospitable. We enjoyed the dinner (1/2 board D.B&B) Salad, Steak and Fungi, 2 local cheeses washed down with Cremant de Jura.

Getting There: Follow the N5 direction Geneva, at Pont de la Chaux turn east for Mouthe, then after 12 km you reach Foncine le Haut. Continue for 2 km on the D437, then leave it when you reach the small path on the right with the sign "Le Castel Blanc". 46º40'11.95"N, 6º06'13.97"E (approx)

Promise of ski activities during winter but when we visited in summer it was the mountainous terrain which was most attractive.(location approx 1000m asl)

Around the Lac de Joux...

Around the Lac de Joux (translated it could be 'lake of fun') are excellent campings, hotels and other ways of staying. It is also a great basecamp to explore the environment of the Jura, with the pleasure of watersports in the proxamity.
