looking for the name of the table linen shop in Aigues Mortes near the main square

by marywebbie

A few years ago I purchased some very nice table linens and neck ties in a shop in Aigues Mortes that was right near the main square. I wondered if there was an address or web-site? Thanks. marywebbie@yahoo.com

Though I can recall no shops of this type on the Place St. Louis, there are a number of linen shops in town. A shop selling neck ties as well draws a blank. I can offer several suggestions:

1. Visit the Aigues-Mortes website and peruse the list of shops:

http://www.ot-aiguesmortes.fr/

2. Write directly to the Office de Tourisme and pose this question:

info@ot-aiguesmortes.fr

3. If neither of the above produce the results you seek, try writing to the owner of the cyber cafe "LES REMPARTS" on rue E. Zola. He also owns the fabric shop (one of the best in Provence) on rue E. Zola and can probably direct you to the linen shop selling ties as well:

Travel Tips for Aigues-Mortes

A well preserved medieval city walls

by vinc_bilb

Main attraction is the city itself:

a great medieval city walls, rebuilt by Louis IX of France (Saint Louis) in the 13th century as France's only Mediterranean port at that time.
It was the embarkation point of the Seventh Crusade (1248) and the Eighth Crusade (1270). The town is actually several miles inland and the port. City is deeply linked with French history and king Saint Louis
