good accomodation in carcassonne
We stayed here for 3 nights , in a twin room, booked ahead. It was a bit faulty towers to start, giving us a double room , when we requested a twin, however this was quickly rectified by the very busy man on reception. These rooms are very basic but with all you need , a bed , bathroom with shower, tv , aircon and phone. I thought this hotel was good value for money in a great location , just below the main gate into the medieval cite. I was sorry I had paid twice as much to stay in the cite, this was almost as good. The buffet breakfast was adequate and had good views of the cite. The staff were very friendly and helpful and some spoke good english. Definitely stay here again.
Unique Quality: Great location for the medieval cite, good views to it as well.

Great location
This hotel is perfect for visiting Carcassonne. The bathroom is totally weird. Very odd shower arrangement, where the shower door opens against the toilet and the floor slopes towards the drain. No toilet roll holder - minimalistic. However, the bed was comfortable and there was a TV and air conditioning.
You are 100 yards from the entrance to the old city of Carcassone and there is free parking.
Unique Quality: Location, location, location.

compact and handy
The hotel is in a great position just a few mins walk to the old town, some of the rooms overlook the cite walls. The bedrooms are very compact but clean and tidy, the shower room is very small with no shower tray just a hole in the floor so the whole room gets wet,the hotel staff are helpful some speak english if ur not looking for luxury this hotel is ideal.
Unique Quality: being so close to the old town.

A SHORT WALK TO LA CITE'
As we wanted to stay for two days in Carcassonne ( September 21 & 22) we looked for a hotel close to LaCite. We found what we were looking for at the INTER HOTEL ESPACE CITE, only 220 yards from the main entrance. We couldn't believe our luck when they had a room available, as there was a tour bus in the parking lot.
The hotel is modern with comfortable rooms. We enjoyed our stay there immensely.
Unique Quality: The hotel even offered breakfast (Petit dejeuner) for 30 french francs ($6.00 CDN) so we enjoyed breakfast there both mornings.

Great location
I stayed here for a night during my very short trip to Carcassonne. I wanted something close to the medieval cite which had parking and wasn't too expensive, and this place fitted the bill perfectly.
The hotel wasn't particularly flashy, but the view of the cite from my bedroom window more than made up for that.
I've seen a comment elsewhere that it has the smallest showers in the world. And it's quite possibly true! There's a screen attached to the wall next to the shower which shields the rest of the bathroom, no space for a proper cubicle, still less a bath. Still, size isn't everything, and it was clean, it worked and I wasn't intending to spend hours in there anyway with the town to explore!
You're not in the main town centre over the other side of the river, but it's a wonderful base for exploring the cite if that's what floats your boat.

The smallest shower in the world!
We got a pretty nice view of the castle from the small window in our petite sized room, but what made this hotel so special, is the shower, you open the shower door, and without taking any step (the wall won't let you anyway) you ARE in the shower, it's just a shower head right behind the shower door, since there's really no space in between, the only way to take a shower is swing open the door towards the toilet, and what a genius, enviromental-friendly, and space/ water saving idea, the bathroom got a wash each time someone takes a shower.
Unique Quality: A nice breakfast room with view of the castle is a plus.
