Meeting people.
We are in Cap d'Agde for a week from 1 September this year and one of our number is a real sun-lover and is hoping for a tan. What is the weather like at that time of the year? Also, we want to visit Agde itself, Beziers and Montpellier while we are there. Will we need a car or can we get to all of them on public transport?
Normally the weather is very nice in September, and after the end of the school holidays it is nice and quiet, the water warm.
If you do not have to hurry your visits - and I do not suppose that will be the case as you have a whole week at Cap d'Agde - you can make your trips by public transport. Inside the towns/cities transport is no problem either. Especially Montpellier is fabulous with its very efficient tramway.
However, driving yourself to places by car is also nice, as you can discover and explore more remote places, and stop wherever you want.

However the town and station at Agde is about 3 miles from Cap d'Agde. There are local buses and you can find the information at

However the route map shows that bus 274 runs between Agde, Cap d'Agde and Marseillan but as it not shown in the current timetable list I suspect it runs only in summer.
I am in the general area in June and hoping it will be warm then too!
The Brescoudos meeting takes place each year, this year was the 18th. It brings together hundreds of chrome plated Harley-Davidsons and Goldwings from all over Europe. Hundreds descend on the harbour area over two days and the event features bike shows at Avant-Port and Centre-port, prize giving for best bikes, blessing of the bikes by the bishop of Montpellier, and charity events such as balloon release raising funds for the orphans of the firemen of Herault and Agde area.
