Résidence Saint Loup: Résidence Saint Loup

We rented a 2-piece appartment in this holiday residence for two weeks. The residence is very quiet, the small one-storey blocks have every privacy. Each appartment has its private terrace or garden. Our appartment on the 1st floor had a living area with a comfy couch and two armchairs, a table suitable for 4 persons, a fully equipped kitchenette with sink, vitroceramic cooking range, oven and dishwasher. Furthermore there was a bedroom with two twin beds, a bathroom with tub/shower and a separate toilet. And, important, there was more than enough storing space.
Internet is available but not free of charge (25 euro for 2 weeks). A TV is standard in the appartments but you have to pay for the remote (it won't work without it). At 40 euro per week we thought this was outrageous.
We also booked the 'cosy' formula which means that the beds are made and that there's a package of towels in the bathroom (and bed- and bathlinen are changed every week).

The residence has everything one needs for a leisurly vacation. There are two swimming pools, a children's pool and playground, a small supermarket selling fresh baguettes, pains au chocolat, etc. throughout the day, a launderette, a restaurant, a bar, private secure parking. The restaurant offers also take-away service.
The property is very lush and green and the oleanders were in full bloom while we were there.
It's a 10 min. walk to the centre of Cap d'Agde and the marina, and 5 min. to the quiet Plage de la Roquille.

Les ambassades du soleil: Cap d'agde's finest appartment's with a nice view

I was looking on the web for a affodable but nice appartment in Cap d'agde. I came on the site from "Aktys locations" and hired the CA094 reference. since then I went several times. The only thing is that the swimmingpool is only open from June till september. We had that magnificent view and close(250Meters) to the black vulcanic beach. That is quiete spectacular. We went diving and enjoyed the beautiful underwater landscape and the fisch. The accomodation is good organized en quiete but not so far(600Meters) from shops restaurants and cafés. To each appartment there is a parkingspace when you are with the car.

The view from the appartments especially from the reference CA094 or nmber 422 is fantastic. In the evening we ejoyed our french white wine from the terras. The swimmingpool is big with a small one for the kids.

Les ambassades du soleil: Appartment's with view

Yes! From June till September this accomodation is interesting when the swimmingpool is open. Nearby you find th Vulcanic black beach. The accomadation is 500meter's from shops and restaurants. In the seasons it is the most quiete place with magnificent view on the canal with the white yacht's and sailingboat's. But it is close to the shops and restaurants(500meters) with parkingspace.

Fantastic views when you are along the promenade. The other side you enjoy the swimmingpool and the garden.

Fort Brescou III: Rent an apartment of a local

This year we wanted to rent an apartment because we knew were we wanted to stay in the area.
We found a website with thousands of apartments in France and more than a hundred in Cap d'Agde: http://www.abritel.fr/uk/cvliste.php?wvill=Le_Cap_d'Agde&tril=vpx&km=20

Here we've found an apartment for 5 persons for € 400 (+/- 540 USD) just near the harbor, no view but not expensive and a 2 minute walk to the action!

No need to use your car leave it on the free parking at the apartment. You can walk to the beach, 7 minutes walking trough the center along the shops and restaurants :) It's a 2 minute walk to the port/habor and a 1 minute walk to the bakery/boulangerie were they have the best warm baguettes in France!

Camping, apartment, hotel??: Somewhere to lay your head

Every time I have visited Cap D'Agde I have been lucky enough to stay at our family's own apartment, so I am afraid that I cannot given any opinions on other places such as the campsites or hotels available in the area.
If you would like more information about places to stay, I would recommend contacting the tourist office. Contact details below.

The only hotel in the Naturist Quarter: Hotel Eve - Le cap d'Agde

All of the accomodation in the quarter looks like left over space ships from the 70's!!! This hotel isn't the Ritz - but you can't wander the Ritz in the buff either. The rooms here have basic, but tasteful, decor. The staff, helpful and friendly from the proprietor to front desk clerks to maids, makes up for any possible deficiencies. This is the only hotel within the naturist quarter. The hotel features some nice amenities, including the heated pool, sauna, 24-hour lounge and satellite TV.

This hotel in the naturist quarter has one pro that beats all others: The staff is tremendously helpful. Most are fluent in English, and they constantly bent over backwards to assist with every question or whim. They are available around the clock, as is the lounge, so it's possible to get a cocktail or cafe au lait at any hour.

The pool is heated, it's lined with padded chaise lounges, and it's a few steps from the lounge. It's easy to spend your visit there just relaxing poolside, getting an all-over tan and sipping drinks. The hotel isn't right on the beach, but it's only a 5- to 10-minute walk away.

The rooms can be a bit quirky, however. For instance, our bathroom featured a bulky water heater over top of the toilet. But while the decor isn't the epitome of high fashion, the rooms are clean and the style is basic. The best rooms are the suites or villas which, while more expensive, are larger and well-appointed. The villas feature their own kitchens. But even the basic rooms are quite comfortable.

Thirty-two of the 45 rooms have air-conditioning. If you plan to visit during the warmest months and aren't accustomed to living without AC ("climatisation" in French), be sure to request one of the air-conditioned rooms.

While the hotel's only meal served is continental breakfast, it has arrangements with a nearby restaurant for ordering other meals (ranging from sandwiches to pizza to pasta) in your room.

All in all, this is a great hotel providing for all your basic needs.

Everyone is naked.

Only hotel in naturist village
Wonderful staff
Short walk to beach

Closed in the off-season
No meals served except continental breakfast
A few rooms are not air-conditioned
