Will be visiting Agde early July.
Can you reach Agde from Nice using public transportation? Then how difficult is to get from agde to Barcellona?
Any couples late 40's for company at Agde?
You can take the train from Nice to Agde. Fastest trains take about five hours and there are several a day. You always need to change trains at least once though. Since these are regional trains you don't need to buy tickets in advance, just turn up at the station buy your ticket and take the train. There's one departure at 10:05 that will put you in Agde at 15:02
From Agde to Barcelona takes between five and six hours. Again several trains a day, some are regionals, some are long distance trains.

hi we are a couple in our mid 40s who have an apartment in le cap d'agde and would be pleased to meet up in July, for a meal or drink.
Get to the mount st. Loup, there is an entrance-road on the bottom of it (although you can't drive to the top) the view is well worth the 20 minute walk!
Don't forget to bring your camera an pickup some of the beautiful lava-rocks to bring home and decorate your candles or something like that :)
Ofcourse it is entirely free to walk up the mountain.
