Around Gruissan
by alnoor
At just 20km East of Narbonne, "le gouffre de l'oeil doux", at the heart of the "Massif de la Clape", an impressive cliff surrounded by green all around; completely unexpectable view and a harbor of peace around the garrigue. A circular lake, a small beach surrounded by an exhuberant flaura.
Arc de Triumph
by salinhopt
This triumphal arch was built in honour of Louis XIV in 1691 by Daviler upon the site of Western city side medieval gate. Medalions depict important events during the king's reign. On the city side, you see the Canal du Midi connecting the Ocean and the Mediterranean and the revocation of the Edict of Nantes which outlawed Protestantism.
My Home : The city who gives always a sunny smile!

"Port Marianne"
Near the terminal station of subway (TAMway), after the city library, we can find out such a magic place at the riverside.
You can have a chat with friends without any disturbance, or take a short walk with your puppy and the one you love...
It will be a wonderful afternoon you've never experienced, and of course, a sunny and cheerful afternoon!!
"Peyrou"
This is the place the most historique in Montpellier (so does Cathedrale Saint-Pierre), where I love go on Sunday and enjoy the sunshine.
In summer, around June 22-26th, there's always a musical festival held in the place. I used to go here and enjoy a live band concert night, it was great!
"Les Arceaux"
Next to Peyrou there's a great bridge which looks like Pont Du Gard, that's beautiful as well, but what a pity it's closed to the public.
It's the historical center in Montpellier city, which dated 1 B.C.. That's say, it's been constructed 2000 years ago.
Strongly recommend to come here and feel the sunny silence...
Montpellier

I have great memories from my studies at Montpellier. It is a beautiful, medieval like city with nice people, good restaurants and fine wine! You should visit Montpellier when visiting southern France and I am sure you will love it as I did!
