Great Skiing is not too far away.

Had the opportunity of a lifetime, how many people actually vacation with the French, who welcome you to join them skiing in the Alps. Other than skiing, our competition between cooking American style and French style was an experience. The salmon and the Mexican food prepared by the Americans won over the racklett and pasta dinners prepared by the French. Had we had one more night we may have tied. Maybe next year! I am not a big cheese fan, but the racklett with the meats and cheeses was interesting and tasty. Enjoyed the Pas-tice and the wine.
Les 2 Alpes has the best bar scene. Alpe D'Huez has the best skiing at my level. For the truely insane La Grave has a 7100 vertical drop. Take the bus to La Grave, do not waste your time going via Les 2 Alpes. They take you there and abandon you. You must walk 2 miles flat at 12,000ft. Talking about difficult.
A Places to Eat Crepes or Gautres While Strolling

This is a Sunday place for the younger child to experience his first carousel ride and for slightly older ones to have their first pony ride, but above all there are crepes, gautres and ice cream to conclude with. There are carriage rides through the surrounding area too.
BEACH!!!!

"Montpellier! Long live the beach!"
Montpellier was great! Nice beach, nice camping! We had a great time there, unfortunately not that long. We were there for only 3 days. But the beach made it all good! Just look at that water!
"Food..."
Camping Les Rochelles where we stayed had a very good restaurant and we tasted several things...I had beef carpaccio, Maartje had the big salade with all kinds of good stuff in it and Danielle tried the duck.
The food was good and the restaurant was pretty nice!
Montpellier

I lived in Montpellier during 15 years. It's a city in the south of France, 10 km from the sea. A nice place to visit. 40 km North of Montpellier, begins the Larzac region, arid, beautiful, that's where my family is from.
