by MaryDill

Hi all, I'm going to stay in Argeles-sur-mer for the month of July.(yipee)with my 3 kids. Unfortunately I have to go home for an important interview and the cheapest flight i can find is from Griona. Can anyone tell me of a us route or train that i can get. Direct if possible .Thanks in advance. Mary

You can take the train between Argeles sur Mer and Girona, but you have a change in Port Bou (the Spanish rail tracks are different from those in the rest of Europe) - the journey is a bit slow 2h30-3h and costs 7,30€

Perpignan Is Far South

"Long Ago A Kingdom , Now Growing with Wine"

This active city was long ago prominent as the independent kingdom of Majorca (13-15C), but now it prospers with wine growing. The Palace can still be visited and other ancient fortifications can be seen as well. The city contains an early example of a Spanish looking Cathedral.

"A Visit to the City"

Include trips to the Cathedral, the Majorca Palace and the Castillet.

My discovery of Perpignan with my parents in law who are living in Carcassonne.
We took the highway and before Perpignan, took the small roads.
We passed therefore to Salses (and visited the "Chateau de Salses"), Rivesaltes (renowned for its Muscat), Thuir (and we visited "les Caves de Byrrh"), Toulouges (for its chocolaterie), Le Perthus (at the frontier with Spain), Collioure, Port Vendres, Banyuls sur Mer and back to Carcassonne.

You will find a map of Perpignan and its surroundings.
