Pia?
by PookieRabbit
Is this a suburb of Perpignan or a small town/village in its own right? Can you get to it with public transport / is it far etc.?
Thanks

Google is your friend! http://www.bookcottages.com/cottages/100-W10678-pia-nr-perpignan.htm
http://histoireduroussillon.free.fr/Villages/Histoire/Pia.php - in case you don't read French, a resident complains here of the rarity of buses for going to Perpignan, which at least indicates that there are some.
Try contacting the bus station (gare routière), Avenue Général Leclerc, BP 614, 66006 Perpignan cedex, tel : 04 68 35 29 02, fax : 04 68 51 44 70, www.cg66.fr

Pia was a village in its own right but has effectively become a suburb of Perpignan. It is 11 kilometers from Perpigan centre by road but somewahgt less in a straight line. It would be quite close to Perpignan airport, on the coast side of the route national. There would be busses to Perpignan but I suspect not frequent.
Travel Tips for Perpignan
The Band
by dlandt
Wehappened across this group while we were strolling the esplanade. They weren't that great of musicians, but they relly looked like they were having fun. Quite a few people stopped to watch them. If you look closely you can see that several are in light costume, such a devil's horns on their heads, odd caps and such.

Near the Cathedral is where the center of the modern city is located and just North of that is the Castillet. The second important church of the city is a ways east of the city center, that of St. Jacques.

I was studying as a Erasmus/Socrates exchange student from my home University in Pilsen during the 2001 spring semester. OK and as you can see I partied too !
*The Socrates/Erasmus programme is financed by the EU and was created to support mutual relations among universities in Europe, to improve educational systems in language Europe and to enhance knowledge of European dimension.
