take a cofee in one of the city center 's bar.If you're lucky the sun 'll be present. But in Perpignan three's not a lot of things to do, just profit of the day.Nevertheless if you are interested on museums you can visit the Majorca kings palace, and the small casttle called'Castillet'.
Part of the St. John's church is a section of the earlier Ancient version finished in 1025. In a special place therein is a chapel containing the most cherished relic in the church, an early 1307 Devout Christ Wooden Crucifix. Also in this area is a marble tomb of 17C Bishop Louis Montmort and a revered Virgin and Child of that period and other items
Although Perpignan stands on the river Tet it is a much smaller river Basse which flows through the centre - its banks having been transformed into pretty gardens. The main streets are lined with Palms and Mimosa which in Spring are loaded with delightful, fragrant yellow blossom. Enter the older central part in the proper traditional way through Le Castillet the city's massively fortified brick gateway built in 1370. For a time it was used as a prison but now it houses a delightful Catalan Folk Museum. A few paces from Le Castillet is Place de la Loge, former heart of the old town. It is still a popular resting place, sit at one of the pavement cafes and admire the mediaeval buildings.
