On the milky way- Le chemin des étoiles
As each year since 2002, in period of Easter, we took our sticks of "pilgrims" in order to traverse a other part of the Camino of Santiago of Compostella also called stars Way. An allusion to the first pilgrims that followed The milky way.
We meet therefore with nine friends in the small city of La Souterraine, city relay for the chapter linked to this year 2008.

Comme chaque année depuis 2002, en période de Pâques, nous avons repris nos bâtons de "pèlerins" afin de parcourir une autre partie du Camino de Santiago de Compostella aussi appelé Chemin des étoiles. Une allusion aux premiers pèlerins qui suivaient La voie lactée.
Nous retrouvons donc à neuf dans la petite ville de La Souterraine, ville relais pour le chapitre lié à cette année 2008.

Last year (2007) we stopped at Saint Agnant of Versillat and this is therefore very logically there that we take the GR (big hike) n° 654 here again.

L'année dernière (2007) nous nous étions arrêtés à Saint Agnant de Versillat et c'est donc très logiquement là que nous reprenons le GR (grande randonnée) n° 654.

Etape 2: St Étienne de Fursac - Bénévent-l'Abbaye: 20 km.
Etape 3: Bénévent-l'Abbaye - La Besse, Les Billanges: 24 km.
Etape 4: La Besse, Les Billanges - St Léonard de Noblat: 25 km.
Etape 5: St Léonard de Noblat - Limoges: 25 km
Etape 6: Limoges - Solignac 20 km
Etape 7: Solignac - Aixe sur Vienne 22 km
Total = 161 km parcourus

Even if, alongside our way crossing the "Douce France", we discovered many places welcoming and magnificent, we will keep of our passage in Limousin, the memories of beautiful nature, of very good tables, of return in the history, of sincere and very welcoming people and of quietness resting.
One would know only too counselled to the travellers in poorly of authenticity to be going to visit this magnificent region.

Même si, le long de notre parcours traversant la "douce France", nous avons découverts de nombreux endroits accueillant et magnifiques, nous garderons de notre passage en Limousin des souvenirs de belle nature, de très bonnes tables, de retour dans l'histoire, de gens sincères et très accueillants et de tranquillité reposante.
On ne saurait que trop conseillé aux voyageurs en mal d'authenticité d'aller visiter cette magnifique région.
