Chateau de Labessière
Lovely chateau, stylish meals and rooms and the personal attention of the owner, a former teacher of German. He's a little deaf but loves to talk!
It is very near Verdun, and Mr. René Eichenauer can tell you lots about it. While he does, his wife Marie-José Eichenauer does the cooking.
Rates 2005: 60-70 euro per person per night (includes breakfast and dinner).
Rates 2007: 70-75 euro per person per night (includes breakfast and dinner).
Unique Quality: Very spacious rooms in rather lavish French style. Lovely dinners and good breakfast.
We stayed in the pink room (see 2nd photo).
Nowadays there's also a pool!
