The Hotel de Theatre is a comfortable 3* establishment with a fine restaurant. The building was once a mansion and today has all the amenities that you might require (including a sauna). It was too cold when we were there, sowe did not use the outdoor pool We suspect that if one were boating on the Moselle that one could put up here quite easily. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom well-equipped. The staff were very attentive and the location could not have been better for seeing Metz, possibly without leaving your room for night views! It is a member of the Chateaux et Hotels de France Association and it is owner operated.
Like other establishments of the Group, it makes a visit to France more civilized than just touristy.
