The following is the original explanation of the flower mosaic :

The Stanislas square of the XVIII-th century, is one of the most impressive sights of the city. It is surrounded by architectural ensembles. There are the Museum of fine arts in one of the buildings of ensemble. The museum was reconstructed, there is the exposition of pictures of Delacroix, Monet, Manet, Modigliani. The square divides the city at the old and new parts.
There is a museum of "The school of Nancy". The products of an applied art created on boundary XIX - XX centuries by artists and masters of "The school of Nancy" (one of the directions of a modernist style most known in France) are collected there. The Cathedral
by tini58de
This church was built at the beginning of the 18th century and became the cathedral in 1777, after Stanislas had died. Do have a closer look at the beautiful organ and the painted cuppola with 150 biblical figures, the Holy Trinity and the Doctors of the Church! Amazing!
Villa Majorelle

A Portuguese that we met in Vannes-le-Chatel, advised us that we should try to visit this house.
We went there, but unfortunately, it was not opened to the public, demanding a previous booking (attention!).
We appreciated it from outside, and realized that it is mainly a symbol, because, all around it, there are many other beautiful samples of Nancy School of Art.
