Travel Tips for Nancy

Make sure you check out the park in Nancy. Now, it isn't like a forest of trees ( there are trees spread out everywhere, but enough for it to be called a park)
but it is a decent park to walk around with your loved one for a while and watch kids play football(soccer). Believe it or not, but while walking in the park, we stumbled into a zoo in the middle of the park!! I kid you not! I have never been to a park that had bears and chimpanzees. It was a very pleasant surprise, because at the time I was in an Anthropolgy class, which gave me a better appreciation for chimpanzess and apes (everything that looks like a monkey is not neccasarily a 'monkey'
they are all unique, beautiful animals...lol, now you know!) Also, the park had rides for the kids. Enjoy! This is a picute of a sad chimpanzee in the park. Again, I apologize for the sideways picture. I'll fix this soon.
Stanislas "Garden"
by solopes
The Stanislas statue stands alone in the center of a large and empty square.
Beautiful!
Sometimes, people decide to embellish the square, and an artificial garden is displayed around the statue.
Still beautiful!
But come closer! Look at the garden! What do you see? Grass, flowers and... glass! Lots of elements in glass, mixed with the natural flowers combine perfectly and remind us that Nancy is a must in glass art.
Great!

Porte de la Craffe.
This is the oldest of the town’s gateways erected in 1336 by Duke Jean the first. The two massive towers were added in 1463 and used as a prison until the middle of the 19th century. Up to 1610 it was the gate by which the dukes made their solemn entry into their capital.
Stanislav monument
by Kuznetsov_Sergey
At this time the ensemble of the Stanislas square was built in Nancy on which grateful inhabitants of Nancy installed the monument to Stanislav. The history of the main monument of Nancy is casually so comical and dramatic.
The monument stands by the face to the triumphal arch constructed by Stanislav in honor of the husband of his daughter - the king Lui XV. Stanislav founded the royal library in Nancy in which he transferred a lot of Polish manuscripts. The society of sciences and Literatures nowadays stands on the square named in honor of Russian tsar Alexander I.
