Chateau des Monthairons: Luxury on the River Meuse
We chose this as one of our splurge stays. It is just south of Verdun and we stayed here while we toured the area. The chateau is beautiful and located right next to the river Meuse. It is a very peaceful retreat and quiet setting. We had room 10. It was large with a queen bed and a sofa double for our son. The bathroom was very spacious and luxurious. Our room looked out on the court. The park view would have been preferred. Because of our itinerary we had only a short period to explore the chateau and park before leaving for a dinner appointment. We arrived back very late and then were off again early the next morning. This was not the place to come if all you needed was a place to lay your head. This is a place to relax, enjoy and savor.

Especially for commercial travellers. Nothing special.

Le Château des Monthairons: La vie de château...
Very nice castle in a park, built in the middle of XIX th century.
Double rooms from 70 to 150€.
Unique Quality: Beautiful place.
Also RESTAURANT (Renown place!). Menus from 30 to 75€. Good quality. Local food.
