La Gentilhommiere: THE place to stay in tiny FOS

We ate here twice, coming back some 30 miles to do so the second time, as the food was so good and the owners so personable; but we did not stay. I DID look at a couple rooms, though, and they are quite large, but basic, with good cupboard for clothes. They have 9 rooms, four of which have en-suite.
FOS is the last village before crossing into Spanish Pyrenees. The hotel is open all-year and the area is good for bicyclists and motor cyclists, other outdoor activities, near ski areas.
Rates are very economical, ranging from 25Euros for single room, to 35Euros for double with bath.

Unique Quality: The owners are English and have lived in France many years, also operating a restaurant in southern France previously. They are very accommodating and friendly.
