This is a castle reshaped over the centuries and yet at the same time intimate and magnificent. I really had a good feeling going through the castle. And when I have a good "feeling" about a place , it usually is...and it was!!
It is in a lovely setting, within the walls of the town, and with the river gently flowing past its front face.
Inside there's a large sitting room with billiard table, big soft armchairs for reading and resting, and a small, charming stone bar for refreshments.
The rooms which are beautiful and bright and are lit up by mullioned windows, are all decorated differently...but with much respect for its prestigious past and without compromising on modern comforts.
Ouside there is a pool and a children's pool next to the terrace.
This is the only hotel in the village so I recommend making reservations ahead of time.
Directions: Within the village walls and not far from the centre of town.
By car, on the road, take the A62 and exit Darmazan 6, then follow the D930 toward Nerac-Mezin.
