Hello! Should there be someone that will be going to Lourdes and coming to Barcelona, would it be possible if we could ask a favour to bring us a small bottle of water from Lourdes¿ Even a postcard and they do sell postcards with water from Lourdes. We would like to give it to a very good friend who is dying of cancer. We are happy to reimburse you for any expenses, we shall pay you back for this small bottle of water from Lourdes. God Bless! Hello there Theodoor,
That is so very nice and so thoughtful of you to respond to our request bringing us water from Lourdes. However, come mid May 2006, my wife and myself are doing a tour guide for ten people coming from Cambridge, UK and without fail, we certainly will bring back water from Lourdes. Our good friend that was fighting out the big "C" sadly past away couple of months after we took her for a tour in Lourdes, we were so happy and satisfied that we even were able to take her to Fatima. I realize you are living in Barcelona and would like to seek your help for the following questions.
1 What is the most efficient way to get from Barcelona to Lourdes? Is it wise to do it by rent a car? If yes, how can I do it (as many car rental companies do not offer one-way rental service)?
2 What kind of lodging do you recommend me (and my wife) to stay in Barcelona? My requirement is neat, convenient but at reasonable price.

At the back of the Grotto, on the left of the altar, is the Miraculous Spring (La Source) that reportedly spouted on February 25, 1858, during the ninth apparition, when Bernadette scraped the earth. The Virgin is said to have commanded her, "Go and drink at the spring and wash there." The water from this spring is collected in several reservoirs, from which you can drink.
