Hotel La Solitude, Lourdes, France - Reviews and Hotel Information

This hotel exceeded my expectations and would most likely be where I would stay again. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful and I must say that they keep the rooms very clean. There are a number of rooms that face east and overlook the little river - Le Gave - and have spectcular views of Chateau Fort and the Pyrenees. This was my favourite place to sit and read in the morning.

The hotel is just 5 mins. from the Sanctuary (which makes it easy to return to for a break or pick-up/drop-off stuff). It is also just 10-15 mins. from the centre of town and other sites like the Parish Church, Tourist Info Centre and relaxing cafes & restaurants.

The rate I had for the room from Travelocity was 65 Euro including Breakfast. I think this was very reasonable considering the service, location and comfort.

The rooms facing east have a magnificent view of the River Gave, Chateau Fort and the Pyrenees. Since Lourdes is practically surrounded by mountains, I think all the rooms would have great views of the scenery.
