Quite correct - Hôtel*** tout à fait correct.

    by

The outside looks good and the hotel escapes the neighbourhood of multiple works of public road network and metro which knows Toulouse. Works which begin in the crossroads Jean Jaurès - Bd de Strasbourg and the Square Wilson.
The reception of the hotel is ordered well and reminds an establishment 4*. The staff is kind and efficient.
I had reserved a double room for single use at the "best rate" for 3 nights in weekend. For the price of 74 € / night I had a room of "privilege" type on the 3rd floor behind and perfectly quiet, especially since there was a door between the hall and the chamber itself. Chamber of average size, bathroom with bathtub (missed the curtain for the shower). Everything worked correctly including the air-conditioning which does not contain a stop position but is silent.
I did not have breakfast in the hotel (13€). The neighbourhood offer croissanteries and bars to sufficiency as well as restaurants.
    ------

Unique Quality: The situation of this hotel is excellent on the avenue Jean Jaurès in 200 m of the Square Wilson, near the Subway and in front of the stop of the bus shuttle for the airport.
The value for money was thus favourable. But a rack price of 130 € in the week seems to me rather high for a hotel 3*

We paid 97 euros for a room described as "queen room, tub only in room." I was a little apprehensive about this, since the hotel was only a two-star, and I was worried I would find a tub literally "in the room," and where, I wondered, would the remaining needed bathroom facilities be? It turned out that we had a wonderfully comfortable queen-sized bed in a very attractively decorated room with the usual attached (complete) bathroom. The towels were more sumptuous than typical of two-star French hotels, and there was complimentary soap, shampoo, and shower gel. The warning of "tub only in room" referred, apparently, to the usual French shower arrangement, which is a tub with a sprayer that one can stand under, but without a shower curtain or other means of keeping the bathroom dry while showering. This one wasn't as bad as usual. One could turn the sprayer to the wall and keep the rest of the bathroom dry. The room was really lovely and afforded a view of the relatively busy Allees Jean Jaures. Nevertheless, it was perfectly quiet. The room contained a closet of adequate size with plenty of nice hangers. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom and an outlet for electrical grooming appliances. There was good info. about Toulouse and the hotel in the room. There was a good television, a telephone, and a desk and chair. The room and bathroom were immaculate. I believe the windows opened, but I'm not sure (That can be important. French interiors tend to be over-heated.) The hallways featured very attractive oriental carpeting. Everything seemed new and in good condition. The staff was professional and helpful. We were completely satisfied with our stay in this hotel. We considered it a bargain. We were looking for budget hotels, since we were moving every night, but this one was suitable for an extended stay. The location was extremely convenient for shoppping, touring on foot, taking the metro, and accessing the train station. We have stayed in four- and five-star hotels and would give this one a third star.

Directions: Just off Place Wilson, close to Place Capitole

    good central location

    by

We stayed here our first night on our 2003 southern France vacation. It was a good central location, being a short walk to both the sight downtown, and the train station the next morning. There was also a Quickburger nearby. The map shown in the photo indicates many of the nearby sights.

We booked through Expedia, and paid 96 Euros for the night.
