Comfortable stay here. The hotel is opposite the rail station. Bed and breakfast 73 euro single. There are several hotels in this area, including Ibis, Ibis Styles and Bristol. The area is what you get around a lot of rail stations,i found no bother

I arrive in Toulouse next week and would need to get to Saint Jean Pied de Port. Anyone have any tips on the cheapest way? Cheers :)
do not know if saint jean is very close to toulouse. if it is more than 20 miles this site may be of help ( www.idos.cz ) for the page in english click on the uk/british flag

Visit the Place du Capitol. The capitolium is constructed of pink and white bricks. Très jolie! Surrounding the place de la capitol,there are many shops including cafés, book stores, Tabacs, Ice cream stores(OCTAVE), restaurants etc.
Le jardin du Capitole (Square Charles de Gaulle) occupe l'emplacement de plusieurs bâtiments disparus et plus particulièrement :
- l'ancienne Maison de l'Enclos où les denrées chairs salées, jambons et huiles étaient pesés avant d'être livrés aux marchand de la ville.
- le Logis de l'Écu où l'on apportait les denrées qui étaient redistribuées aux artisans.
- le Collège des Pauvrets (orphelinat), qui devint en 1550 une prison pour femmes.
Les vestiges du mur gallo-romain et de la tour, dite de Charlemagne, sont visible à l'ouest du jardin (en face de la Poste)
The Rue Boulbonne isn't anything particularly special - it simply cuts off to the south from Rue d'Astorg right after the Place Saint-Étienne. Nevertheless, it has a beautiful fountain here, one that will certainly delight those looking to get a few interesting pictures. For those more attentive than I, there is a plaque explaining the significance of the statue.

The fortified city of Carcassonne
This place is awesome. It's a fortified construction on top of a little plateau covering it all. Even miles away, you have to span left and right to look at it all.
Visiting the interior of the ramparts bring you back a couple of centuries to the knight and conquest period.
More Info: Unfortunately, staying inside the ramparts is difficult and pricy, stay in town at the bottom of the fortified city.
