Train from Lourdes to Nice, via Tolouse-change of train is only 12-15 minutes, is this enough time?

by ginaled

I saw in the train schedule from Lourdes to Nice, that there is a change of train in Toulouse but there is only 12-15 minutes interval. It would be the first time our family will be travelling to the said places. Will it be easy to find the train we will get in Toulouse for Nice?
What website can we check to see visually beforehand the station or details where to transfer in the train from Toulouse to Nice?

This is normally sufficient, if...the arriving train is on tim. Let's say that you got about 75 percent of chance of getting the connecting train. Otherwise, you take the next connection (railway staff will help).

I ofund teh station quite easy to find my way around and the staff are were helpful; it is not a huge station, so it should be fine unless train runs late.

Travel Tips for Toulouse

The Saint-Sernin Basilica

The Saint-Sernin Basilica

Saint Sernin is the most important and the most superb of restored Romanesque churches in the world.
Saint-Sernin was a major stage on the pilgrim route on the way to Santiago de Compostela. It is the biggest and one of the finest Romanesque churches in the West.

Langue d'Oc

by hquittner

The statue to Peire Godolin (Goudouli) (1580-1649) in the Place Wilson leads to this comment. I am not a French scholar, but I was exposed to some "langue d'oc" during a French literature survey at University. (I thought its rougher character more exciting than the mellifluous regular French). Perhaps it was the Cajun argot which is the only French I hear, occasionally. With a dictionary I can read Mistral (and often can guess the "off" words). Maybe there is a deep instinct because my family name is postulated to come from the Catalan-Provencal region over 1000 years ago (via Hungary). I think it is exciting that the beauty of such a language drives some young people to still cultivate it. We have experienced this also in Arles and seen the Sandenga in front of the Cathedral in Barcelona.

St-Jacques Hospital

by Klod5

Here one sheltered and one took care of the pilgrims on the path of Santiago de Compostela that, after having visited the Black Virgin of the church of The Daurade, crossed the Garonne while borrowing the old Covered Bridge.
The present buildings have been constructed from 1258, the facade, unique and uniform, giving on the Garonne dates 1639.
The hospital of the Hotel-Dieu-St.-Jacques serves to the administrative hospital's services of Toulouse henceforth.
It also shelters a museum of the surgery.
The whole to been classified Historic Monument by decree of May 27, 1932.

Le Belge

by s_odyssey about Le Belge

Price: Very reasonable! An entire menu is about 70-90 francs, approx 11-14 Euros. Mussels, Mussels and more mussels. The entire menu is pretty much composed of mussels, though they do have a plate offering a mixture of different sausages and 'choucroute' and of course waffles as desert.

Musée des Augustins

by basbed23

The Augustins Museum is quite possibly Toulouse's most impressive museum. Originally a monastery built in the 14th century, the Augustine was converted to a museum in 1793, around the same time the Louvre was established.

This is one of the statues that calls the Augustins Museum its home. It is called "The Nighmare." There are around 4000 pieces of art that can be found in this museum and should be a top priority when in Toulouse.
