La Belle Etape: Hospitality at Maisse

Contrary to the internet, visitors training out from Paris will NOT find taxis or services from Maisse to Milly-la-Forêt. One can fortunately find a very good meal and very nice people at "La Belle Etape." Taking pity on me, the owner--who does not speak any English--actually DROVE me over in her own car.... and picked me up later in the afternoon. Uncalled for, and unquestioned hospitality! Knowing what I know now, I would have gone out and spent one evening and trained back the next day.

Unique Quality: A terrace and a good meal. I had duck with orange sauce and dates; a house wine.
