Great Stopover after leaving Calais
If after leaving Calais from Eurotunnel, you are looking to take a short jouney before retiring for the evening, then a night at the hotel 'Les 3 Mousquetaires' at St. Omer is really good value.
The hotel is an old manor house, set in 3 acres of parkland and gardens, and run by the Venet family.
Mr.Phillipe is the 'maitre de cuisine' and his cooking is an absolute dream. Well known for his portions, gourmet style but reasonable price.
Accomodation costs around £60 - £70 for a luxurious double room, with canopied bed, en-suite facilities, tv etc.
With creaky flooboards, HIGH ceilings and polished surfaces - you really feel you are living the high life.
All of the staff speak wonderful English, and are extremely friendly being well used to their English visitors.
90 - 100 euros per double room The hotel looks as though it was furnished the day before your arrival, everything is so well maintained.
Mr. Venet takes great pride in his business.
It is ESSENTIAL to book well in advance as it is very popular.
