camping perroquet: campsite on french/belgian border in the dunes
we got off the ferry at 9pm having nowher to stay! we just drove and after been turned down at 2 campsites found this one sprawling from the road for a mile down throught the dunes to the beach. it was a very pleasant campsite with good facilities. There is a fair amount to do in the area for young and older alike. I would certainly go there again.
i must also recomend the tabac across the road along with the total garage where the owners were really helpful and friendly to us. we suffered a burst tyre on the Sunday and of course nothing was open. the lady from the tabac offered to lend us a wheel to drive on but it didnt fit. eventually the petrol attendant called a friend who came out in his pick up and fixed it very cheaply for us.
