Just stayed two nights. Nice, small hotel. No frills, and clean. Staff was friendly and I enjoyed my stay.
Everything was small-rooms, TV . A cozy little place. The breakfast was 5 Euros and was a bargain. The choices were great, the food quality was wonderful and the whole experience was good
We stayed there on a Sunday night and the hotel was very quiet.
The room: You have a choice of smoking and non-smoking rooms and all rooms are arranged in 'pods' of two with one common small entry hall for each pod of two rooms.
Very basic but contrary to Formule 1, you get your own bathroom/toilet. TV with 6 general + 4 cable channels. Beds were OK but no more, the room was a bit tired, with the woodchip paper peeling in places, but clean.
We paid 31.58 euros for our room (with discount). Average price is 35 euros.
The hotel There is 24/24 reception, a bar and an area for breakfasts (5 euros). The staff was polite and reasonably helpful. The car park at the rear is not closed but benefits from CCTV.
Very good value for money and in the town centre opposite the train station and between the Place d'Arme et le town hall. Within walking distance from dozens of cafés and restaurants.
As with all cheap hotel, noise can be a problem. Not noise from outside as the windows are doubled glazed, but noise from the other room in your pod and noise from the corridor or the room above. I can see this being a problem when the hotel is full with English on a booze cruise on Fridays and saturdays.
