I had dinner in this hotel and didn't stay here. The lobby however looked really nice. Very french, quite opulent and old fashioned. The bar looked enjoyable too.
A 1950s hotel full of antiques and character in the centre of Calais. The atmosphere is created by its individuality. It appears not to have been decorated for decades and is a little shabby round the edges. I hope they don`t do too much to it. There are already too many corporate hotels that mimic each other. Here is something completely different.
Located in a quiet residential area behind the museum. Very friendly welcome. Huge bedroom with Egyptian Cotton sheets. Lovely bathroom with loads of hot water. Gracious public areas.
Very good restaurant with lots of menu options from a menu of the day to a gastronomic experience. We had the relatively pricey 43 euros per person option for 5 courses - it was fantastic.
Breakfast is taken in the conservatory and costs 12 euros. Loads of choice and as its all self service you can spend as long as you like over it.
