Hotel Equinoxe - Central and cheapish
On our trip to France in June 2006 we spent our first night in Le Touquet. The only reason we stayed here is that it was convenient to the golf course that Alex & his mum were playing at on the first day. As we were staying for only one night, and wouldn't be spending much time in the hotel, we looked for a budget style hotel in the centre of town, so that I could easily walk around while they were golfing.
Hotel Equinoxe was nice and central and had a certain quirky charm about it that I liked. It was in an old building, that had seen better days, but was clean and welcoming.
Unique Quality: Our double room (65 euros) was big enough and had a bathroom and TV. But the best part was that there was a little balcony that was perfect for me to sit on for a while and read my book in the sun.
Chris had a single room (59 euros) and said that it was pretty tiny, and the shower was very small. However, it was clean and she enjoyed her stay.
We had breakfast at the hotel (extra charge) which was the usual French style of a baguette with jam, a croissant, tea/coffee, but there was also some cheese, meat and yoghurt for a little bonus.
Parking is on street, and if you are there on the weekend or in July/August you will need to pay for parking, which the hotel can arrange.
