I am moving to Lille beginning of June. I will be working in Fleurbaix, 25 min away by car which I dont have:( Does anyone know how can I get from Lille to Fleurbaix without a car? Is there a bus connection?

Well the 213 bus between Lille and Estaires is clearly designed for people needing to do the opposite to what you want to do, as it stops at Fleurbaix only in the evening, at 18.35 (dep. Lille 17.30), and leaves Fleurbaix for Lille only in the morning, at 06.45 (arr. Lille 08.15): http://www.icars-vivacar.com/horaires_route_param.php.
If you can't find anywhere closer to work to live, you may therefore be obliged to look for colleagues who can give you a lift.
Although Lille are often in the top half of the French "Le Championnat" and usually qualify either the Champions League or the UEFA Cup alas the city is not a fooballing mecca and the ground is relatively small by Premiership Standards. In 2001 they were forced to play their Champions league home games at rivals Lens - a much smaller town but probably the most passionate football town in France and a ground with a capacity of almost the total population itself!
It could not be easier to reach Calais. With up to 60 car ferry and catamaran services daily, you can turn up and sail from Dover to Calais at any time of the day. Crossings on P&O Stena Line and SeaFrance superferries take from 75 to 90 minutes and 45 minutes on Hoverspeed's superseacats. Access roads from the port link directly onto the Autoroute network and the port is just a five minute drive into the town centre by car or by bus, which meets all ferry arrivals.
Alternatively travel to Calais on the frequent Eurotunnel services from Folkestone. The Eurotunnel Terminal is to the west of Calais at Coquelles and next to the huge Cite Europe shopping centre. The terminal also has a direct link to the Autoroute network and Calais town centre is a short drive.
The Meert Patisserie and Tea Room is a haven for all those sweet-toothed people out there.
It is a famous Patisserie and chocolate shop, with a quaint tea room at the back, which is just as you imagine a french tea room should be! We couldn't resist stopping here for a pot of tea and an eclair - delicious!
Just off the Grance Place there is a Chinese looking building, that looks quite of of place in a city like Lille, but still was nice to see it there. It was part of a cultural exhibition in 2004 as it was the Year of China in France.
I am not sure if its still there today, but it was nice to see it there.
This beautiful building from the 19th century is in Place de la Republique. It has many paintings, sculptures and ceramics and is seen as France's second most important museum. At the moment there is a special Rubens exhibition for the year of culture.
