This may have been my first experience of a Novotel, and I've been a fan ever since - Paris, London, Brussels...

Good rooms, decent price, decent breakfast etc

Reliability; value for money

We stayed here for one night in April 2002. We got a special internet rate of just ?62 per night for a double room.

Modern-ish hotel with OK rooms, but not quite up to Novotel standards. Close to the city centre.
