Complete, interactive map of Lille parking places:
www.viamichelin.com (or http://www.viamichelin.co.uk)
Put in 59000 Lille in the 'Display your map' feature and choose country France.
Then you get a map.
Zoom in at will.
Choose from the Menu Extras - Transportation - Car Parks (blue round P).
You'll get all the car parks in Lille.
Thanks alll very much...
glad you're online, wanted to add something.
I also was going to add suggestion VINCI Park in Lille. I picked one of their Parkings on interactive map, outside center to keep it cheaper. Polyclinique du Bois Parking near Canteleu beyond river is 8E for 24 hrs.
Other nearer town I've seen can be 16 Euros.
Every Parking has a distinct operator & they all ask that you contact them by email. If you wish to enquire about long term (2-3 days without moving the car), that's what you need to do. I'll help you with the French if required but I'd start by writing them in English.
Be aware that Lille has known great changes in all its infrastructures in recent years, it's still going on. The administration is very forward-looking & use of cars has drastically dropped. Parking is a concern. For this reason I advise you check out the Transpole & Vinci links as they are specialists for Lille and likely the most up-to-date.

Memorial tombstone for a Leon Trulin at the Citadelle park. The tombstone reads 'Here Leon Trumin, died a hero November 8, 1915 at the age of 18. (In the last letter to his mother he wrote) I forgive everyone, friends and enemies.'
Here you can eat the best things, divided in two categories: sweet crêpes, and crêpes with things like salmon, chicken, ham, cheese, ...
Try it! It's really delicious! When I was there I could choose between some 40 different kinds and I had a really hard time choosing. But I think anything must be good there: I'm sure I'll try it again when I return. Anything!
Most people head for the Tourist Information Office when they visit a new place and I am no exception.
I love the old building that this one is in.
The centre itself is well laid out with plenty of staff manning the desks.
A walking guide to the city is available for 2 Euros and a map for less than 1 Euro. There is also a gift shop in there.
If you take a photo of the side of the building mind the step!!!
Le p’tit quinquin
A lullaby for children but also a symbol of the culture and identity of the people of the North and of their languages. This is a creation of the poet Desrousseaux ( from Lille)
It inspired himself length life in the factories of the XIX th century. So popular that she uses rallying song to the French soldiers against the Prussians in 1870.
Today again, one can hear the air to the bells of the belfry of the room of the commerce. The sculpture dating back to 1902 is a work of the sculptor Eugène Dépléchin.
Translate it say:
Sleeps, my small child,
My small chick, my big grape,
You will do me sorrow
If you do not sleep until tomorrow.
---oooOOOooo---
Dors, min p’tit quinquin,
Min p’tit pouchin, min gros rojin
Te m’fras du chagrin
Si te n’dors point ch’qu’à d’main.
peut se traduire ainsi,
Dors, mon petit enfant,
Mon petit poussin, mon gros raisin,
Tu me feras du chagrin
Si tu ne dors pas jusqu’à demain.
