A place to stay
by Alan-m
Lovely little Town not too far from Calais and has proven a very useful stop over when travelling to and from the UK. A few bars and in season plenty of beach style cafes. Out of season its quite. The festival in late August is well worth the time spent.
To avoid, the Municipal Campsite, the facilities are very tired.
To enjoy. This part of the north French coast is a delight
Mind the tides !

When we arrived, we wanted to have a walk on the beach, but our stomachs called for food... so we decided to first eat come back later. Half an hour or so later, back we were... but no beach anymore !! It seemed to have vanished in the air... or under water :-) I first thought it was not the same place, but it was...only it was high tide. The beach seemed quite large to me at first, so I guess the tide is very fast !!
Charming Wissant, nested between the two Caps
by Muya
On this rainy day of July, we really had a need of escaping somewhere... So we thought about this little village on the Côte d'Opale where my boyfriend used to go when he was a little boy. No matter the rain, it would be a nice remembrance day-trip. Only 3 hours away from home and a good change of scenery.
Wissant is a charming little village nested between the two Caps. When standing on the the beach, you can see Cap Gris-Nez on your left, and Cap Blanc-Nez on your right. Really pretty !!!
