Hotels in Wissant

Having read so many negative reports about Hotel Accomodation in Wissant we didn't know what to expect really. However the Hotel de la Plage was a nice surprise. True that to get to the room you do have to go up some steps initially but after that it is simply a series of corridors. The first rooms to you pass do have a musty smell about them, but the best rooms are overlooking the pond, and these were fine. Sadly there are no TV sets in the rooms, but other than that everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is extra but it was very nice.

Unique Quality: The Hotel does seem to attract and mainly French clientele which must be a good sign, and the staff were generally polite to us. They do also speak good English if you do not know French. The mill pond attached to the Hotel is lovely. I would recommend a stay there.
