"The living room"
This is the living room of my hostmother's house.
"my room"
Here is my beautiful room.
"the "dépendance" for the boys"
In this "dépendance" slept the three boys: Diego from Mexico, Lucas from the USA and I. We had a single room each.
"the rooms of the girls"
At the first floor of the house slept the girls.
"...et voilà Madame Annie Breteau!"
She was my hostmother. How old do you think she was? 69! And she managed to have eight "hostchildren". She was wonderful. I'm still in contact with her by letter.
"the whole family"
Here you can see the whole "family".
From the right: Tiffany, Naomi, Julie, Erin, Diego, Lucas, Eri and Madame Breteau. I was the only European; all the others, apart from Diego (Mexican), came from the USA. I didn't get on particularly well with these Americans, not for them coming from the USA, but because they always spoke English, even when I was with them. My English oral skills are not the best and, anyway, I considered a waste of time to come to France in order to attend a French course and then to speak English all the time!
Other Americans I met at the CIDEF were nicer, but I lost contact with all of them.
