RE: travel to nantes train station
The information is all on Nantes Airport's website, and in English, http://www.nantes.aeroport.fr/aeroport/htdoc/uk/plans/plans.htm and for shuttle bus (20 mins, last stop is the station), click on "links from airport to downtown".
Travel Tips for Nantes
Rain is an important word in Nantes.
Nantes could definitely contests as one of France's rainiest place.
I remember the long long autumn and winter months when rain was falling on a pretty daily basis. If it does not rain in Nantes every day, it is a good thing. Otherwise, it is natural.
So, be aware that when you travel to Nantes between from October to March-April, you may have rainy days.
Good point is that it is never really cold there. Rare when days are under 5 degrees.
St. Peter's Has a Cenotaph, Stained Glass & Altars
There are other churchly objects to note in walking through St. Peter's. In the opposite transept (North) from Francois' Tomb is a cenotaph (that is the body is somewhere else) monument to General Lamoriciere (a local boy who made good; d.1865) created by P. Dubois (1879) with symbolic virtues at each corner. Look back at the beautiful modern stained glass windows in the South transept devoted to Breton Saints. Then head for the ambulatory where the various chapels have fine carved altarpieces (we have no details).
Between Le Mans and Nantes, the city of Angers with its castle.
It was built by the King Saint Louis (Louis 9th) in th 13° Century.
There is here the famous tapestry of The apocalyps made in th 14° Century by order of the Anjou Duke.
