This was a great find. The hotel, like many in France, has a grand entrance, but the rooms are simple and the welcome friendly. The staff really couldn’t do more for you. We never saw another soul in the corridors all the time we were there, but I don’t know if it is always that quiet. Our room was on the top floor at the front, in the eaves of the building. It had everything you needed and there was double glazing but as it was hot we slept with the windows open and it was noisy, being close to bars and the opera. Two slight grumbles about the hotel but they wouldn’t stop me staying there again: firstly the TV only had French channels – no satellite. Secondly, their restaurant is not open Saturday and Sunday. No big deal as there are dozens of places within walking distance, bit it did seem a bit odd.
