Weather at the Beach

by KarolAnne

What would the weather be like in mid-march in St. Jean de Monts?

Re: Weather at the Beach

by Kakapo2

That far north and on the Atlantic it will surely not be warm enough for swimming, if this is the intention of the question...

Re: Weather at the Beach

by KarolAnne

Would it be good enough for walking around? Would the usual shops be open?

Re: Weather at the Beach

Of course!

Just wear warm clothes. Enjoying the outdoors always depends on being appropriately dressed. Even in rain (well, not a bad storm...) I enjoy walking on the beach.

I do not know if all shops in this particular village will be open but as the locals also have to survive, so at least you should find something to eat ;-)

*** probably, but not a bad place for a bracing stroll.

Travel Tips for Nantes

St. Peter's Cathedral: Examine the Exterior

by hquittner

The Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul is constructed of light stone which permitted the builders in 1434 to create vaults higher than Notre Dame de Paris. Two tall towers flank the large central windows. At the chevet one can see the ring of apsidal chapels. St. Peter is on the trumeau of the central door.

My Home City

by nicolaspelon

I was born in the Paris area, but I moved very early to Nantes and spent more than 13 years before moving to Bordeaux for my studies...

I'm a Nantes inhabitant in my heart...this city offers so many great things that it will take me too much time to describe everything precisely...

However, I will try to do my best to present you as simply and precisely as possible...

Any comments or questions are welcomed...
