Quality Hotel & Suites Nantes Atlantique: Hotel in Pheripherique

It was really out from city centre. So, it might be suitable for people who travel with car or rented the car.

Unique Quality: Very spacious! When you enter the lobby...it is huge open space. Room I stayed in was double, spacious had its kithen corner with everything needed for cooking.

Modern hotel!

I'd say really nice hotel but the location is bad. I got an impression that travelling frensh businessmens are using it a lot. It had its conference facilities as well. It is most likely not ment to be for the " usual - city break " tourist.

Auberge de Jeunesse de la Manu: Youth hostel

Nantes has only one yoyth hostel and it is situated near the railway station. Not the best location but still very central and with the tramway a few minutes from the city center. Just went once in the hall to visit and the place is correct and clean. Rooms starting around 14€ (dorms).

This is the campground at...

This is the campground at Notredame, a small place near Nantes. You can hire a tent here or park your own tent or caravan. For hiring tents with beds, small kitchenette and some outside furniture try organizations like Canvas, Eurocamp or Camp Solleil.
100 guilders= 350 francs = 60 dollars per night in high season (when you hire at tent, it's cheaper when you bring your own tent or caravan).

Unique Quality: There is a: reception, shop, take away food shop, restaurant, telephone, loundry, swimming pool, minigolf, playground and an activity organizer.

We made one stop before...

We made one stop before getting in Nantes. This overnight stop was at Verdelot, near Paris. Campground Verdelot (Caravanning Freme de la Fee) is very peaceful and only 45 minutes away from Euro Disney (for pictures of this parc see my Paris page travellogue). The camping has all shower and toiletfacilities, a lake is nearby, there are two tenniscourts and horsebackriding can be done nearby (12 kilometers from the camping).
100 guilders (60 American dollars) per night for a hired already put on tent at the spot with beds, kitchen and outside furniture.

Unique Quality: Peaceful. Reception, Telephone, showers, tenniscourt nearby, minigolf, playground, gamesroom.
