Relax your mind and soul
"Land of salt ..."
... the salty taste is everywhere - whether in the air or in the salines of La Guérande. The sandy beaches and the rocky coast are splendid for a vacation to relax. I spent one week there in October, when the tourist masses had left and only a few Thalasso-therapy-tourists were there. The locals were very, very friendly and patient with my French which is not fluent. I felt at home and the people looked after me well. I don't know how it is in high season, where all tourist places get more unfriendly and impolite (understandable, of course!), but being there in October I felt warmly welcomed.
