Hotel Balladins Amiens/Longueau Confort

I like this chain of hotels. They are clean, unfussy places at reasonable rates. Our room was 45 euros. Not a large one, but everything you really need, ensuite shower, TV, phone, desk etc.

You find these hotels in the Zone Industrielle areas of the main towns. They service the businessman and salesman. They are not found in the town centres and you may have to go elsewhere to find a restaurant. They do, however, self-serve breakfast in clean neat surroundings.

Unique Quality: Easy to get to and easy to park, in a quiet location. They also accommodate pets.

while looking good from the outside we found the interior shabby and unattractive, our room was rather smelly and turning on the heater requred repositioning of furniture
the `bar` comprised a dining table and several chairs so we chose to sit in the slightly more comfortable [or less uncomfortable] seats by the main door, and braved the icy gusts that came in with every guest
Breakfast was rather sparse, a group of salesman had just left with their pockets stuffed with rolls and croissants and there didnt seem to be any replacements forthcoming

when I booked this hotel no mention was made of the fact that it in a retail park, which was a bit of a suprise, all in all it was a very uncomfotable stay
