Budget hotel in the center
We stayed in Amiens as a stopover between Lille and Chantilly. The hotel isn't right next to the cathedral but it's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel has 6 floors so it's easy to spot, that is once you are in the right area. Amiens is a large city so be sure to print out directions. Parking is an extra 7€ per day but because we were there on a Sunday, parking on the street outside the hotel was free all day and according to the desk clerk until Monday at 1pm. Wifi is free and can be accessed from the rooms. Breakfast is extra so we passed on it. We paid 73€ by booking directly with them on a summer special deal.
Unique Quality: Ibis hotels are fairly standard and don't vary much from property to property. The rooms are decorated in a similar fashion, the beds are on the stiff side and the room comes with one extra pillow.
The shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure was fine, soap is mounted on the wall and meant to be used for bath gel and shampoo
