The Track
Both the external and internal architecture and design of the Chateau at Chantilly is beautiful. I think is mish mash of additions over the centuries has enhanced the character. Maybe controversially the French Revolution was not such a bad thing for Chantilly as new life has been brought in to the buildings over the last 120 years. With many works of art in all mediums have been brought here since the rejuvenation.
I observed that the roads are very narrow and one has to be very careful, even when you are taking a walk. The vechicles seems to move very fast and there are very few space for people that are walking.
This may be because we arrived here when majority of tourists were hurrying out and back to Paris.
i remember that we stayed here often . can not rememeber why maybe there are several places worth seeing close by.
i plan to take a look at my map once i get all the towns marked and see what is close by.
also will look at some of the pages other members have.
a trip out to senlis is worth making
